Joining the already incredible bill headlined by Mumford & Sons, Metallica and The Libertines are indie rock heroes and all round band of the moment alt-J. Last seen headlining the NME/BBC Radio 1 Stage, the band’s sophomore album ‘This Is All Yours’ has established them as one of Britain’s brightest and biggest bands, who are stepping up to the plate for an evening set on the Main Stage.
Joining them on the Main Stage will be Palma Violets, Drenge, Modestep, FIDLAR and Japanese metal idol band BABYMETAL – opening up the stage no less.
Away from the Main Stage, we have Parquet Courts and Echosmith alongside Twin Atlantic on the NME/BBC Radio 1 Stage. Anyone who saw Twin Atlantic last year know how much they dominated the stage, and we can’t wait to invite them back.
For the dance heads, the BBC Radio 1 Dance stage is packed to the rafters. Huge names like Jacob Plant, MK, Blonde, Rustie and Snakehips are just some of the killer line-up providing the beats all weekend. Over at the BBC 1Xtra Stage, the legend that is Ms Dynamite is bringing back the dy-na-mi-tee, with Tempa T, Loyle Carner and Kiko Bun performing over the weekend.
The Lock Up will be hosting Modern Baseball, The Bots, The Smith Street Band and Youth Man, while The Pit will be rocking your ears with Atryu, PVRIS, And So I Watch You From Afar and so many more.
For those looking for the freshest indie talent, the Festival Republic Stage is where you’ll be finding your favourite new band. Acts such as Saint Raymond, Little Comets, Eliza And The Bear, Mini Mansions and oh so many more will be taking to the well-loved stage. »
